About Botany!

As Special Events Coordinator for Historic Botany Village, I would personally
like to Thank everyone who attended Botany's Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
Ceremony. Over 200 people crowded into Sullivan Square and Santa passed out over
100 gifts to children who attended from Clifton, Garfield, Passaic, and
Paterson. Special Thanks to the CHS Madrigal Singers who were spectacular as
always, Santa and his helper Katelyn Schoelles, Greg Mayo, CHBD's Executive
Director who spent the day in Sullivan Square who helped me make sure everything
was perfect for the big night, Mayor Jim Anzaldi, City Manager Matt Walkins, and
the members of the Clifton City Council who joined us in the celebration, Aziz
who drove Santa, and the members of the CHBD Board who came out to show their
support, and the Botany Village Merchants Association who purchased the gifts
that were passed out. My wish for a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and
Healthy New Year filled with Peace.

Botany Village out did themselves this Christmas. What a beautiful night for the
Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Botany Village is so beautiful and looks like
a Winter Wonderland. I almost cried when I saw the joy in my kids eyes when
Santa arrived. Thank you for doing a wonderful job!

Just a short note to thank you for running your carnival again this year. My 3
year old grandson had a wonderful time. We went to another carnival on Sunday
before yours and he was able to go on 2 rides because everything was set up for
older kids. Your carnival was very family orientated and he was able to go on 7
or 8 rides. He had such a good time my husband and I brought him back Monday. He
was visiting us from North Carolina and my son and his wife have already started
making plans to come back home next Labor Day weekend and Botany Village will
the first place we go.

I just had to write to tell you we had such a wonderful time in Botany Village
this summer. With so many towns cutting out events because of budget cuts it was
good to see Botany Village still has great concerts at the best price of
all...FREE! Looking forward to getting my ice cream and coming to your concerts
next summer.

I am looking forward to the start of the Botany Friday night concerts. I'll be
there on June 1st to see my favorite band Sweeter than Honey. Thanks for
bringing them back to Botany Village.

I wanted to write to say that I went to Botany Village this past week and the
workers were setting up the Christmas decorations and testing the lights and
putting on the decorations on the large tree in Sullivan Square so I got to see
a sneak preview. It's looks wonderful and I can't wait to see it finished. To
the folks in Botany Village, great job as usual. You always have the nicest
Christmas display in the city.

My husband and I went to Botany Village Saturday night to see the Basement
Brothers perform in the center of the Village. The show was fantastic same
as the other shows held on Friday Nights in Botany and the best part is it's all
free. We met a few friends there and we went to dinner at the Pub across the
street and had a great time. We found the area clean and the people friendly. If
you haven't been to Botany Village lately, I highly recommend you do.
